Congrats on your callback! Below you'll find resources for the music portion of the callback audition.
-Please plan to be at callbacks for the duration -- 3:00pm until about 5:00pm. Plan to bring homework for times when you are not needed on stage. We may be able to dismiss people early if we finish with certain characters.
-Feel free to check in with Mr. Grossman, or to e-mail Ms. Sullivan ([email protected]) for feedback on your audition as you begin to prepare for callbacks.
-Below you will find links to download Rehearscore. Rehearscore is a MIDI Program that we have purchased for this show. Watch the tutorial video to get a sense of how to use it, but it will be a great resource for independent rehearsal. Download it onto a computer and start working with it.
-Each character has cuts for singing and reading. The cuts for reading will be given at the callback. Please prepare the musical selections as well as possible, and be ready to adjust to feedback given in the audition. We want to see how well you take direction!
-If you are listening to a cast recording as a reference, please listen to the Original Cast Recording with Len Cariou and Angela Lansbury. The movie is not an accurate representation, and neither is the 2005 revival (despite it's awesome new orchestrations)
-You'll notice that some files have markings such as 'm.28-42'. This means to prepare those measures. For files that do not have those specific markings, please prepare all that is shown in the file.
